I wasn't sure where to put this - so this seemed like a good place.

I caught Shonna's post in book discussion and it had a look to a "youtube" book trailer.

What do you think of them? It certainly seems like that one whet Shonna's appetite, and I have watched them...I'll admit one did make me look for the author on my next trip to the book store.

Has anyone here tried their hand at actually making one?

Book trailers are a great for marketing. To me this is a learn it and do it yourself type thing because I have seen people charge upwards of $300 to make them. Which I think is ridiculous. LOL

There are more than a dozen places on the Internet where you can post them which is more exposure and gets your name out there. So if you have an interest in learning how to do them I would recommend finding a tutorial that will walk you step by step through making one.

If I have some time today I will see what I can find.

I have that microsoft movie maker program that came with my computer or with office, not sure which - but I think I'm going to start playing around with it a bit and see just how hard it is.
