For twenty years, Romona and her husband lived in the Northern Territory of Australia where they criss-crossed the Outback, both with his work and on holidays. In discovering its rugged magnificence and sheer vastness their interest escalated.  The secret place where Tranquility herself, was born. A place where one could stroll among the stars, reach out and touch Forever and experience the bush teeming with wildlife unique to Australia. They extended their trips into gold and gemstone-fossicking adventures, trailing the stock routes of old-time cattlemen and tracing the tracks of explorers.

The notes Romona kept translated into a series of articles for a travel magazine and then, she realised what better backdrop than this sun-drenched wilderness for conjuring up stories of unique blend--love up against impossible odds. She undertook studies in creative writing, specialising in Romance, and set to work.

Her characters are taken from the extraordinary men and women she’d met on her travels.

OTHER INTERESTS:

Animal welfare.   Both domestic and wildlife. Romona is a member of the WILDLIFE WARRIORS. (A Steve Irwin project)  and a rewarding task is to encourage wildlife off roads and bush tracks for their safety.
Romona also contributes to RSPCA (lost and mistreated domestic animals)
VESPA  (Welfare of moon bears)
