John B. Rosenman

John B. Rosenman grew up during the Golden Age of Science Fiction, and writes what he calls “Wow” science fiction, novels, and short stories that seek to explore the awesome, mind-stretching wonders of the universe.   As a boy, he devoured SF and Fantasy stories and comic books and had his mind twisted forever by scary movies like Them!, The Thing, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, and The War of the Worlds.  He has published five books of fiction: The Best Laugh Last (a mainstream novel), More Stately Mansions (a collection of short stories), and three science-fiction novels: Beyond Those Distant Stars, Alien Dreams, and Speaker of the ShakkBeyond Those Distant Stars will be republished by Mundania Press.  Another science-fiction adventure novel, Dax Rigby, War Correspondent, will be released soon by Lyrical Press, Inc.   In addition, John has published over 300 short stories in Whitley Strieber’s Aliens, Weird Tales, The Age of Wonders, Starshore, and elsewhere.  He has served as Chairman of the Board of the Horror Writers Association and writes a monthly blog on writing (along with 30 other writers) at www.storytellersunplugged.com.  For the past twenty years, he has been a member of the Oceanfront Writers’ Group in Virginia Beach, Va.


John received his Ph.D. in 1970 and is an English professor at Norfolk State University, where he teaches Creative Writing, World Literature, English Literature, and Composition.  He is the General Editor of the textbook, Introduction to Literature.  His office contains dozens of items from one of his favorite movies, The Wizard of Oz.  He and Jane have a son and daughter and recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary.  John likes to hear from his readers.  You can email him at jroseman@cox.net and also visit his website at http://www.johnrosenman.com
